Ms. Arlene Singletary, a resident of Wetumpka, AL died on July 23, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at Words of Life on Friday July 30, 2021 at 12:00 pm and Burial at St James. Hillside Memorial and Gardens directing. Sis. Arlene Singletary was born in Elmore County, Alabama on October 6, 1949 to the family of Amos Henderson, Sr. and Beatrice Henderson. Arlene was a member of the Words of Life Church of Wallsboro, Alabama, where she grew in her Spiritual Life. She received her formal education from the Elmore County Public School system. Arlene later moved to Brooklyn, New York where she fulfilled her education and work life. She was later married to Lewis Singletary for 50 years. After may years, Arlene Singletary returned to her hometown here in Alabama where she lived out the remainder of her life until the Lord called her home. Her gentle nature and loving spirit will forever be cherished in the lives of all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Singletary; three brothers, Johnny A. Henderson, Eddie L. Henderson and Carl Henderson and three sisters, Daisy Blake, Letha Culpepper and Laura Moore. In the morning hours of Thursday, July 23, 2021, Arlene had gotten tired, so God summoned his precious angels down to bring her home to be with the Lord. Arlene precious memories will be forever engraved in the hearts of her three daughters, Tammy Sherrell Henderson of New York City, Tuwanda Annette Clarkson of Greensboro, North Carolina and Terry Ann (Melvin) Bozeman of Wetumpka, Alabama; two sisters, Mary (Bennie) Bozeman of Wetumpka, Alabama and Cora (Connes) Harris of Montgomery, Alabama; three brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Henderson, Steve Lee Henderson and Darryl Henderson; two honorary sisters, Jackie (Henry) Battiste and Linda(Claude) Perkins; God children, Pastor Eddie (Mary) Henderson, Richard Henderson, Stanley (Karen) Henderson; six grandchildren, Joshua, Julicia, Darrell, Rah-kaeem, Casey and Devon; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
