    Mrs. Earnestine Jackson

    September 4, 1937 - April 27, 2016

    Mrs. Earnestine D. Jackson died April 27, 2016 Funeral Service will be held Wed ,May 4 , 2016 at 1:00 PM from Lake Elam Baptist Church, Rev. Marcus Collins, Pastor, Reverend Walter Crosby Officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Family Cemetery ( Coosada, AL). Repast will be at Fellowship Hall, Lake Elam Baptist Church immediately after burial. The family will receive family and friends from 6 P.M to 7 P.M. Hillside Memorial & Gardens Directing. Mrs. Earnestine D. Jackson was born on September 4, 1937 in Sandtown, AL. She was the only daughter of four siblings born to Frank and Amanda James. A lifelong resident of Elmore County. On April 27, 2016, the Almighty God in his infinite wisdom sent a call for her to return home. She leaves to mourn her passing a loving and devoted husband, Theodore L. Jackson, Sr., children: Cheryl Jackson Wofford (James), Andre, Theodore Jr., and Donald, grandchildren: Gillian Boles (Adrian), Susan, Theodore L.,III, Justine Jackson, Ousmane Cisse, Daouda Cisse and one great grandson, Jackson Alexander Boles. Numerous relatives and friends. She confessed her belief in Christ and was baptized at Goodship Baptst and was a faithful member for many years, former member of Lake Elam and currently Abraham Baptist Church. She remained faithful until her death. She enjoyed being a participant in numerous church auxiliaries: choir and Deaconess. Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of Sandtown High School, Class of 1956. She attended and graduated from Alabama State University with a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Special Education. She was employed by the Elmore County Board of Education (Robinson Springs Elementary School and Millbrook Middle School) for 25 years as a Special Education teacher. She was devoted to her work and loved her students. She was a long time member of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Beta Beta Chapter, Montgomery, Alabama. She served as Basileus of this chapter and won numerous awards during her tenure with the organization.
