Lewis Hendricks Jr., age 85, a resident of Bedford, Texas formally of Wetumpka, Alabama transitioned on October 2, 2021. Lewis was born in Wetumpka, AL on February 2, 1936, and was the son of the late Lewis Hendricks, Sr., and Odessa Hendricks. He attended Elmore County Training School and then joined the United States Army and relocated to Cambridge, MA after his service. He then married his long time sweetheart, Barbara (Sims), and to this union two daughters were born, Karen and Tracey. Lewis and the family moved to Bedford, TX in 1983, where he worked for American Airlines and retired with 34 years of service. Lewis was a loving husband, father, brother, granddaddy, and uncle (Bubba) as well as provider to the family. He also loved to go fishing, smoke cigars, and travel back to Alabama to visit with family. Anybody that knew him knows that he loved watching old westerns and WWE Wrestling. Lewis was predeceased by his father, Lewis Sr.; mother, Odessa; and sisters, Idell, Mary Esther, Sara, Odessa, and Horistine. He is survived by: his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Hendricks of Bedford, TX; two daughters, Karen Hendricks-LeBruce and beloved son-in-law, Gerald Lebruce, both of Ft. Worth, TX, and Tracey Hendricks of Bedford, TX; grandson, Tyler Hendricks of Irving, TX; great-granddaughter, Kristian Hendricks; sisters, Doris Jackson of Wetumpka, AL and Jannie Lovejoy of Montgomery, AL; brother, Curley Bozeman, and wife, Gloria of Atlanta, GA; brother in law, Joseph Tucker, a host of loving nieces and nephews; plus a host of bonus loving daughters, sons, and grandchildren.
