Mr. Moses Baldwin
September 6, 1939 - November 2, 2016
Mr. Moses Baldwin was born on September 6, 1939 to the late Charlie James Baldwin and Willie Mae Baldwin. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined at Old Elam Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama. He attended the Montgomery County School System. Mr. Baldwin enjoyed fishing and working in his beautiful garden and yard. He enjoyed the outdoors and would sit under the tree in his yard for hours a day. He was a family man and loved all of his children and grandchildren dearly. He was affectionately known as “Pop Dukes” to them all. He worked as a construction worker for many years and was a self-employed mechanic. Moses has a sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He had a big heart and kind spirit. God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb; He gently closed those loving eyes on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 and whispered “Peace Be Thine.’” He is proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Willie Mae Baldwin; father Charles James Baldwin, and three brothers. He leaves to cherish his memories ten children, Nichole-Jackson McCants, (Dennis), Montgomery, Alabama, Yvonne Baldwin Moncks of Corner, South Carolina, Deatrice (Rennie) Honeyham, Stone Mountain, Georgia , Annette (Marty) Beckham, Hampton, Georgia, Samantha Baldwin, Ellenwood, Georgia, Eddie Baldwin, Columbia, South Carolina, Nanette Jackson Craft (Marcus), and Maurice Thompson, both of Montgomery, Alabama, Moses Baldwin Jr. and Anthony Baldwin, Bronx, New York; one brother, John Baldwin (Jeanette), Montgomery, Alabama; three sisters Charlie Mae Colquitt, Catherine Bannerman, and Melissa Jackson, all of Montgomery, Alabama, thirty six grandchildren and eleven Great Grand children, host of dedicated nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
