Robert George 74, a resident of Elmore County transitioned June 11, 2022, funeral will be Tuesday June 21, 2022 @ Liberty Hill Baptist Church@ 12noon, burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Robert Lee (Fifty) George, Sr. was born January 13, 1948, to the late Roscoe George Sr., and the late Jettie Pearl Shuford George in Wetumpka, Alabama. He attended Elmore County Training School. He confessed Christ at an early age. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Jettie George, Sr., and siblings: Esther Faye George, Rosie Mae McGhee, Linda Lovelle Lucas, William Alfonza George, Sr., and Roscoe George, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories his seven (7) children, Myron (Cynthia) Smoke of Deatsville, Alabama, Sybil (Darryll) Walker of Adamsville, Alabama, Gregory Jackson, Teresa George and Erica George of Wetumpka, Alabama, Robert (Jasmine) George, Jr., Tyrone George of Wetumpka, Alabama, and LaToya (Rodrekis) Ware, of Montgomery, Alabama; one (1) adopted child, Latasha Salter; twenty-four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; three (3) brothers, Houston (Arizona) George of Marietta, Georgia, Douglas George of Lansing Michigan, and John Billy George of Maysville, Kentucky, four (4) sisters, Apostle Annette Hughley, Birmingham, Alabama, Nellie (George) Hood, Pastor Juanita (Morris) Jackson and Pastor Annie (Gregory) Williams all of Wetumpka, Alabama, a special brother (Timothy Gilbert) and sister (Jean Gilbert), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends with Memorial & Gardens directing.
