    Mrs. Ruby N. Cleveland

    February 14, 1938 - September 14, 2017

    Ruby N, Cleveland “Sis” was born February 14, 1938 in Eclectic, AL to the late Homer and Clara Kelly. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church and served faithfully until death. She held several different positions; as a finance Secretary, on the trustee board, staff parish, and community onlay. She was preceded in death by her parents; Homer and Clara Kelley, one son; Kenneth Cleveland, six sisters; Edith Robertson, Maybelle Leonard, Bettye Buchannon, Charlestyne Bickley, Odell Piner, and Francis Pihman. One brother; George Kelly. She graduated high school from RR Moton High School, Tallassee, AL. Mrs. Cleveland received a Bachelor’s Degree from Alabama State University, Montgomery, AL. She later received a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI. She retired as an educator in Milwaukee, WI, she also retired as a librarian at ECHS, Eclectic, AL. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. During Mrs. Cleveland's tenure she touched many lives and made many friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; Two children; Patrick Cleveland, and Erica Cleveland. Four grandchildren; Patrick Maurice Glasper, Natayla Turner, Melanie Lightfoot and Kelli Kirt. Two great grandchildren; Maddox Glasper, and Bailey Houl. One sister; Jerrie (James) Jones. One brother; Joe (Hazel) Kelly. One aunt; Jessie R. Foster. Two very devoted friends; Alberta Prichett and Danette Battle.
